Hazard/ Risk Identification Risk Reduction Control Measures
Walking Through the Safari grounds – the potential to lose children within the large areas & possibility of heat stress and sun exposure on hot days
• Ensure the students are aware and prepared to walk through a large site.
• The students should wear appropriate footwear (closed and comfortable shoes).
• Ensure the students are provided with adequate sun protection and water.
• The supervision of students during the tour is under the responsibility of teachers or other adults of the group. The ratios of 1:5 for kindergarten/pre-school; and 1:10 for other age groups up to 17 years old should be followed.
• Dubai Safari employees have the emergency procedures to be followed in case of missing students. However, to
facilitate the operation, the teachers/supervising adults are expected to implement effective supervision
strategies, such as name badges with mobile contact number displayed on students.
• First Aid professionals will be on duty the whole time at the park to support in any medical emergency cases.
Traffic in car parks
• Bus drop-off zone is located right in front of the main entrance of the park.
• Pickup Zone for Nursery kids till Grade 1 students shall remain in front of the main entrance, Students from Grade 2 and above will require to commute to Parking 2 for pickup.
• The groups should always use the designated pedestrian crossing.
• Students must enter and exit the bus in a single file and must not push or cause any disturbance to other students.
Trips, slips or falls
• Guardians must keep a close eye on the group to avoid running on certain surfaces around the park, which may cause injuries or skin abrasions.
• Students should refrain from climbing fences of exhibits as it may lead to injuries.
Free roaming animals
• Students must avoid chasing or feeding free roaming animals in the park.
Close animal contact areas/Feeding sessions
• It is not allowed to feed the animal with your own food.
• Learning experiences with collection animals will be under supervision of a trained Dubai Safari staff. The students should always follow the instructions given.
• The collection animals are conditioned to minimize the potential of biting and regularly vaccinated, checked for potential disease.
• The students should not feed or tease the animals.
• In case of interactions with animals under our staff supervision, after the activity the students must wash their hands with soap and sanitizer gel.
Visiting animal enclosures
• Guardians and students are requested not to tap on glass in indoor exhibits as it may stress the animal.
• Guardians and students must switch off their camera flash while taking pictures of the animals in the exhibits.
• Guardians shall ensure that students do not throw any trash or food items inside animal enclosures.
• Guardians and students shall not try to entice the animal while visiting animal enclosure or viewing areas.
Phobia
• Guardians and students, who fear snakes or other reptiles are not advised to visit the reptile house is located in African Village.
Electric Wires/ Fences
• Guardians and students should be cautious and not touch any electric wires or fences as it can cause serious + injuries due to the shock.
Waterbodies
• Swimming is not allowed in water surfaces
• The chemicals used to maintain water quality might cause skin abrasions.
Vehicles
• All visitors are advised to remain seated in Marshalls during Arabian Desert Safari and hands should be kept inside the Marshall during the tour. Visitors must remain seated in the buses during the Safari Journey tour & trains.
• During the tours inside the vehicles, the students should strictly follow the safety measures given by our staff.
• Dubai Safari employees have the procedures to be followed in case of lost items found inside the vehicles or any facilities. In these cases, look for our staff assistance.
• Doors of vehicles at Safari Park are both Manually and Automatically operated, our staff will assist with doors opening and closing in case of Manually operated doors.
• During the journey, teachers and chaperone shall be responsible to ensure kids follow safety measures while travelling in the vehicles like Marshell & Trains.
• Students are not allowed to eat or drink inside the bus.
Sun exposure
• All visitors are advised to keep hydrated by drinking water and fresh juices during their visit to Dubai Safari Park.
• All visitors are advised to wear hats and apply sun block is highly recommended.
• Wear comfortable walking shoes to explore the park to avoid sprains.
Wasp/Insect/Mosquito Bites
• Guardians can carry and apply mosquito repellent lotions to avoid any wasp/insect/mosquito bites.
– Safari Park Pass Ticket: it gives you access on all areas in the park except Safari Journey.

The Safari Journey is a unique, guided drive-through adventure that offers you the chance to observe animals from Africa and Asia up close from the comfort of one of our Safari Buses. Accompanied by our knowledgeable guides, you’ll learn fascinating facts, hear engaging stories, and have your questions answered along the way. The experience lasts up to 45 minutes and provides an immersive wildlife encounter like no other.
After completing the Safari Journey, you’re welcome to continue exploring the rest of the park, including the African Village, Asian Village, Arabian Desert Safari, and the Kid’s Farm.
